Altitude can be a factor when walking at altitudes above 2500m. Short sections of the Tour du Mont Blanc, The Haute Route Trek, and the Grand Tour of Monte Rosa are higher than this and some are above 3,000m. However all our treks start at a low altitude and most people who are reasonably fit acclimatise quickly anyway. For a small minority of walkers there might be a possibility of experiencing Acute Mountain Sickness. This is a feeling of slight headache, nausea and or breathlessness; these symptoms quickly dissipate on descent to lower altitudes.
If you are worried about your medical or physical condition we recommend you take medical advice before booking.
