Snowdonia Moderate grade

Walking holidays in the Moderate grade will explore the mountain ranges of Snowdonia and will have the option to sample an Adventure Walk as part of one of the days out.

Snowdon climb - Moderate grade

Everyone who wants to climb Snowdon (the highest mountain in England and Wales) will get the opportunity to do so by an appropriate route. The moderate groups' circular route to the summit of Snowdon starts and finishes at the hotel. It is approx. 18km (11 miles) and 1,100m (3600 feet) ascent. It should take approx 5 hours.

Holiday Dates

All of our holidays are suitable for moderate walkers. You simply have to decide whether you would prefer the option of a date shared with easy or hard grade walkers. Each group will have their own separate programme of walks and their own leader but you will be able to move groups if you want harder or easier days. Choose an Easy and Moderate Walking date in the first list if you think you might like to be able to opt for something easier. Choose a date from the Moderate & Hard Walking grade if you lean towards doing something harder. If you would like more information on walking grades click here.

How to Book - Proceed as follows

1. Select an arrival date, weekend holidays are for 3 nights. (However if you would like to book for 2 or 4 nights instead it can be arranged - simply email us with your requirements)
2. Choose number of persons.
3. To book either online with credit/debit card or by post with a cheque proceed as follows:
    a) Enter the number of persons in the box
    b) Click the arrow.
    c) Then scroll down to 'pay by card' or 'pay by post' and follow the instructions.
4. You will receive confirmation and invoice for the final balance (with discounts) and other details by email.
5. Cost of flight and travel is not included in the price. Do not book your flight until you have received final details & travel information from Walkabout Holidays.

Insurance

Included in the price is insurance with IGI Insurance Company Ltd protecting your deposit and subsequent final payment arising from cancellation or curtailment of holiday arrangements due to insolvency of Mountain Ventures Ltd. You will need to arrange your own travel & personal insurance.

Group Discounts

Discounts available on all holidays for groups of two or more people booking together:
2+ people booking together 5% discount pp on any holiday price
5+ people booking together 10% discount pp on any holiday price
8+ people booking together 15% discount pp on any holiday price
12+ people booking together 20% discount pp on any holiday price
Discounts are applied to your final invoice.
