The Haute Route Trek

Available for hard walkers only, this traverse through the highest and most spectacular mountains in the Western Alps is dominated by views of two famous mountains - Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.

A demanding summer trek, it goes from Chamonix to Zermatt linking a series of valleys as it crosses the main mountain ranges using high mountain passes accessible only to walkers. We do it in 6 days, using transport to short cut sections within access of metalled roads, making it possible as a one week holiday. From Zermatt we travel by rail to finish the holiday back in Chamonix.

How to Book - Proceed as follows

1. Select an arrival date - Choosing either a 6 night -OR- a 5 night holiday.
2. Choose number of persons.
3. Click the arrow to pay your deposit by credit card or cheque.
4. You will receive confirmation and invoice for the final balance (with discounts) and other details by email.
5. Cost of flight and travel is not included in the price. Do not book your flight until you have received final details & travel information from Walkabout Holidays.

Group Discounts

Discounts available on all holidays for groups of two or more people booking together:
2-3 people booking together 2% discount pp on any holiday price
4-7 people booking together 5% discount pp on any holiday price
8+ people booking together 8% discount pp on any holiday price
Discounts are applied to your final invoice.
