Travel arrangements
You make your own travel arrangements. However, we will organise transfers to and from railway stations and airports on request. This is not included in the price and a small nominal fee will be charged.
Travel to and from Snowdonia in Wales
We will be staying in Llanberis which is approx. 10 miles from Bangor and 6 miles from Caemarfon. By car Llanberis is accessible via the M6 (then M56 and A55) or M6-M54 (then A5) from the south. There are regular train services to Bangor - we will arrange pick-ups and drop-offs to and from Llanberis on request. The nearest airports are Manchester and Liverpool with regular rail links to Bangor in North Wales.
Travel to and from the English Lake District
By car, access is easy from the M6. By rail, Oxenholme (nr Kendal) is on the direct London to Glasgow line with regular trains throughout the week and weekend. We will arrange pick-up and drop-offs to and from the hotel. The most convenient airports are Manchester and Liverpool with regular rail links to Oxenholme, near Kendal.
Travel to Chamonix, the French Alps
You arrange your own flights to Geneva. There are cheap regular flights to most British Airports (flying time less than one and a half hours). The earlier you book, the cheaper the flight. However, reserve a place on your holiday before you Book the flight. We arrange pick-up and drop-off to and from the hotel.
Travel to Spain
You arrange your own flights to Alicante. Easy Jet flies there every day of the week from most British Airports (flying time two and a half hours). The earlier you book, the cheaper the flight. However, reserve a place on your holiday first. We arrange pick-up and drop-off to and from the hotel.
Do not book flights or make any other travel arrangements until you've received your final details and travel information from Walkabout Walking Holidays.
