Winter 2009 - 2010

The Walking Club is a vehicle for cooperation between company and members for their mutual benefit. If members book early we can make up viable groups and get hotel discounts for early group booking - which we will share with the members. We can also give early confirmation of the holiday dates to members who can then book early flights at very low prices. Everybody benefits; however, to make this possible we need you to give us the information requested below. But first:

The Walking Holidays.

The Costa Blanca is an ideal venue for walking in winter. The weather is warmer, drier and sunnier from November, through to April than anywhere else in Europe. The walking is superb and there are lots of interesting places to visit.

We will be based in Benidorm which is conveniently situated for walking in the "The Sierras of the Marinas" and countryside of the Costa Blanca, and also has easy access to Alicante airport. We use three star hotel accommodation which can offer single en suite rooms for people who want their own room. The hotel has a swimming pool, and offers the option of evening entertainment. Most of the life and history of the former kingdom of Valencia is on the coast and Benidorm is an attractive and interesting town full of life, even outside the tourist season, a place of vivid contrasts and unique interest. In contrast the mountains and the countryside are quiet with just a few small towns and villages on the fringes.

Our website standard price is £675 this includes 7-nights half board, twin room hotel accommodation (single rooms available at a supplement of £12 per night) a six day programme of guided walking (the price does not include flights or other transport). Our walking groups are led by and have the services of an expert leader who knows the area well.

The information we need will enable us to:

• Identify the most popular dates
• Establish viable groups( we will identify groups of similar age/fitness/ambition who also are able to travel at the same time).
• Announce discounts and invite early bookings, which make discounts and cheap flights possible. (Booking early Easy jet flights saves money, e.g. Return flights UK to Alicante in December can be booked now for approx £50 return. Seats for the same flights booked in late November/early December are likely to be approx £150.

2. When is it most convenient for you to travel?
• Please give us choices of dates you prefer between November 09 and March 2010 - the more the better (refer to dates on our website here. We've used 'Moderate Grade' for guidance, but its your preferences we want).
• Provide any dates when you definitely cannot come
• Can you come anytime? Yes/No
3. Do you have a preference for a day to fly out and return from your holiday?
• Are you willing to travel on Mondays to get cheaper air fares? Yes/No
• Are you willing to fly on any day? Yes/No
• If No - then please state your preferred days

Please let us have your answers as soon as possible to enable us to identify the dates on which enough people can be grouped together to make up viable holiday groups

Early Bookings are in everyone's best interests:

• When we have identified the dates most people prefer we will announce them and the discounts and invite people to book.
• When seven or more people have booked and paid the deposit for the same holiday we will confirm it is on and give you the go ahead to book your flight. The sooner we can do this the cheaper your flight will be.
